An Evening of Chamber Music
Featuring Alabama Symphony musicians William Denton, trumpet and Wei Liu, cello, together with ASO Education Manager Meaghan Heinrich, narrator, and UM Professor Cynthia Jones, piano. Featured will be China Sonata and Poems from Spirit by William Denton, Jay Rizzetto’s setting of Five Poems of Emily Dickenson for Trumpet and Narrator, and Poulenc’s “The Story of Babar, the Little Elephant” for narrator and piano. This recital is free and the public is invited.
